Being located in such a small and compact space, the main challenge of the project was creating the centralized storage unit in the main area of the studio. This unit needed to address the sleeping quarters, wardrobe, and other larger items. The centralized unit also needed to allow space for other personal items, so it is the heart of the space.

The design also features a long dining counter that is also a work area (with a setup for making tea), and a tatami style living area. These spaces, while addressing the users’ lifestyle, are flexible enough to accommodate other uses.
