We helped out UAP Tandang Sora design the exhibit for the first ever SORA SEED Design Competition batch of finalists.
The design brief asked to do something low-cost, fast and easy to execute, but would still be able to have enough impact to catch the attention of people passing through the UAP Headquarters lobby where it was to be displayed. We took inspiration from wood forms commonly found in modern Japanese design. Our proposal was to make use of 2"x2" sections of solid wood to create 3D grids that would showcase each of the entries. The grids were held in place with screws to allow for easy set-up and quick disassembly during egress.
