The Coffee Academics - Legazpi is the first dine-in branch in the Philippines of this Hong Kong coffee franchise. With a prime street-facing location along a well-populated street in Legazpi Village,the spaces needed a distinct personality that sets it apart from other
coffee shops while integrating seamlessly into the neighborhood’s surroundings.
We took subtle inspiration from commonly found construction materials and elevated them using non-standard techniques to match TCA's standards of design and quality. Being a cafe that opened in the middle of the pandemic, we also prioritized providing a generous al fresco dining space and a takeout counter to cater to bikers and delivery personnel.
